Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how CogniVector Inc. ("CogniVector," "we," "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on cognivector.pro. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. By using our website, you acknowledge this policy. You may manage your preferences through the cookie banner displayed on your first visit or by adjusting your browser settings.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, maintain security and understand how visitors interact with content. Similar technologies include local storage entries and session identifiers. On cognivector.pro, we use cookies primarily for essential site operation and optional analytics.
2. How we use cookies
We categorise cookies as follows:
Essential cookies (always active)
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled through our preference centre. They include:
- cv_cookie_consent — Stores your cookie preference choice (accept all, reject all or customised). Duration: six months. Provider: CogniVector (first-party).
- Session identifiers — Maintain form security and server session state during your visit. Duration: session (deleted when browser closes). Provider: CogniVector hosting (first-party).
Essential cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.
Analytics cookies (optional — require consent)
With your consent, we may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use cognivector.pro — which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay and what referral sources bring traffic. This helps us improve our vector intelligence advisory content. Analytics cookies are only activated when you click "Accept all" or enable analytics in "Customise."
- _ga / _gid — If Google Analytics is enabled, these measure page views and visitor sessions. Duration: _ga up to two years; _gid up to twenty-four hours. Provider: Google LLC (third-party). Data may be processed in the United States.
We configure analytics with IP anonymisation where available and do not use analytics data for advertising profiles.
3. Cookie banner and consent
When you first visit cognivector.pro, a banner offers three choices:
- Accept all — Enables essential and analytics cookies. Preference stored for six months.
- Reject all — Enables essential cookies only. Analytics cookies are not set. Preference stored for six months.
- Customise — Opens a panel where you can toggle analytics cookies independently. Essential cookies remain active.
Your choice is recorded in the cv_cookie_consent cookie for six months. After expiry, the banner will reappear so you can update your preferences. Consent for contact form data is separate — handled through the PIPEDA checkbox on our contact page.
4. Third-party cookies and vendors
We minimise third-party cookies. Potential vendors include:
- Google Fonts — Loaded from Google servers when you visit any page. Google may collect usage data under its own privacy policy. We use font display swap to reduce performance impact.
- Google Analytics (if consented) — Provides aggregated traffic statistics. You may opt out via our cookie banner or Google's browser add-on.
- Hosting provider — Server logs may use session cookies for security. Hosted on Canadian and North American infrastructure.
We do not use advertising networks, social media tracking pixels or cross-site profiling cookies on cognivector.pro.
5. Managing and deleting cookies
You can control cookies through:
- Our cookie banner (Accept all / Reject all / Customise)
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.
- Clearing site data — removes cv_cookie_consent and will show the banner again on next visit.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent the cookie preference system from remembering your choice and could affect form functionality. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect core site operation.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There is no universal standard for responding to these signals. We treat a "Reject all" cookie preference as our primary mechanism for respecting your tracking preferences on cognivector.pro.
7. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change our cookie practices or add new technologies. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
